POUR OVER
HOW WE ADJUST YOUR GRIND
- We make it slightly coarser
WHAT YOU NEED
- Filter coffee machine and pour over kettle (optional)
- Filters
- 15g of ground coffee (roughly 2 level table spoons)
- Kettle
METHOD
- Rinse your filters first
- Put coffee into brewing device. Give it a gentle shake to even out the distribution. Put mug underneath.
- If using a kettle, heat to about 95 degrees and then pour 45mL of water over ground coffee. Start at the centre and in a spiral motion, work towards the edges. Don’t pour directly onto paper, only the coffee. Let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
- Pour another 100mL in spirals again from the centre. Move towards the edge and back to centre again. Let the coffee drain again
- Repeat above step 1 more time. 100mL from centre to edge and back again. Let it drain, then serve!
